So posting faults makes one a troll?
Nice place, this (was better and less abusive before Apple released the iDevices). :(

I am trying to attach a photo to an email and all of a sudden, the window is too big and I am unable to make it smaller OR choose the pic. I am able to get the photo but on the bottom, where it says cancel or 'choose' or is it 'open', I can't see that part.
I know this is super easy n whoever is reading this is probably giggling to themselves, 'this girl hasn't learned a damn thing'.....I'm trying folks, I'm trying.

What proportion of iPhone users do you think understand what a cache is? How about what cell tower triangulation is? How about the Core Location framework? Most people don't understand the finer points of how their phone works. The vast majority don't care and just want it to work and not do anything nefarious. As phones get smarter, there are only going to be more things that people don't understand - I think he makes a fair point.
I am trying to decide if you are serious. I suspect most people here understand what a cache is. I think most have a pretty good idea about cell tower triangulation. We are the people SJ is talking about. I'm not sure what the point about understanding technology is about - why do we NEED to know how a smartphone does what it does? It would be nice to understand what features can be turned off if we feel it is outside our comfort zone.
A user may not be bothered about his firewall, he wants it to do what it supposed to. Do you think that the average person would be happy that it sends a feed of the traffic back to the OEM to target the owner for advertising? I seem to remember Belkin had a similar issue some years ago and hurriedly rushed out a firmware update after it was caught.

I wanted an app that would show me the current month and following month's calendars in a small window, for when I'm planning the next couple of week's activities. I found it as CalendarCenter (http://www.macdev.ca/macos/Freeware.html) from MacDev.ca. It's not elegant but it does just the one trick I wanted. Freeware. versiontracker page (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12219).

I'm lovin it, but no space invaders :(
Well that sucks. Between Space Invaders and Astroides those are my two favorite Atari games... Now if we could just get some of the Activision games ported over! Oh.......the memories.
Some games I would like to see now that we are seeing stuff like this pop up in the app store:
Joust
Gauntlet
Pitfall
Defender
Tecmo Bowl
Star Wars (wire frame version)
Afterburner
:D

I'm not sure why people are all out of sorts with this increase. Basically it seems people are mad that it will cost them more to end a contract early? Is upgrading before the end of two years really that important?
Maybe I'm just odd, but two years with a product really isn't all that long.

1) Never work with a friend of a friend.
2) Never work for free.
3) Never work for a start up business UNLESS it has a larger group behind it (Public/private equity group, blue chip client with a new business, etc.. is ok).
4) Never do work for a religious organisation (seriously not a good idea). Or for that matter a union...
5) If you lie with dogs you'll get flees. Never work on a project you wouldn't want other clients seeing as a client of yours on your Portfolio.
6) Never work with a company where they can't speak your native language... Cheque time comes and "miso soli me no undastandy".
7) Be choosy about who you want to work with. Talented designers will always find work while talentless designers wont.
8) Other artists. They always have pre-defined notions are are rarely up for up for interpretation
9) Design by committee. When there is more then 2 or 3 people approving your design, RUN.
I've only had to fire 2 clients in 8 years of business. One photographer, and one glass blowing gallery. To that I say no more!

Things like headphones, speakers, maybe even combination dvd player?
Protectors and cars mounts as well. I have done a lot of research online but am interested in hearing what other poeple say - not just the search engines.

How do we do that? They are a shadow organization bound by religious or political ideals with no true ties to any nation.
As a result there is no nation that we could go to war with or otherwise hold accountable for their actions.
What I mean is that people captured as part of the "war on terrorism" should be treat as you would treat prisoners of war and should not be tortured under any circumstances.
I tend to disagree with the saying of "ends don't justify the means".
As for your last example, medical testing is a completely different scenario. In the torture case, you are doing it to someone who is part of the terrorist/criminal activity. They are already part of a criminal act, they already broke the law and they are planning in breaking it again to kill/damage more people.
People with medical conditions haven't done anything wrong.
How do you define a criminal act?
Are the terrorists captured during firefights with US soldiers criminals or soldiers, and why?
If North Korea launched a missile against the USA tomorrow, is that a criminal act or an act of war, and why?
If Al Qaeda launched a missile against the USA tomorrow, is that a criminal act or an act of war, and why?
When the USA dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WW2, was that a criminal act or an act of war, and why?
When the Allied forces raised Dresden to the ground in WW2, was that a criminal act or an act of war, and why?
Irrespective of if they are criminals or not in the truest sense of the world, it's no more justified to torture criminals than it is prisoners of war.
If you justify torture to prevent death of innocent people, where do you draw the line? 1,000 people, 100 people, 1 person?
What if the person you are torturing is innocent? What if your torture helps the terrorists recruit more terrorists and the result is more, not less, bloodshed?

A diesel Polo would be great for my commute. I'd be all over that.
That's why you can't have it.

Not being douchey. I'm talking about models. You're a model for a reason no?
