I don't meant to scare you but this shit usually happens when they are reconsidering the decision when the sponsoring employer withdraws your H-1B. Check with your company's/lawyer if they accidentally submitted withdrawal of your H-1B petition.

Folks,
I just realized that I forgot to add a piece of my employment history to the DS-160. I only realized it once I set up the appointment for H1-B stamping through VFS. I have all the corroborating paperwork (W2, paystub etc.) for that period. Do I need to re-do the DS-160? I already have an appointment and if I cancel the appointment and re-do the DS160 I might run the risk of not getting the date of my choosing. The problem is my existing company is a "successor in interest" of the company I forgot to mention. That is, I got my I-797 from this previous company.
Please not that the facts in the existing DS 160 are true. It is just that I realized that there is a gap that I might have to fill.

Hello
Well need some help. I moved from H1-B to F1 visa to do masters. Now I want to quit F1 in middle and go back to doing H1-B and continue masters part time.
I know there are still slots open for H1-B for 2010. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Now I can do summer internship untill August 26, the question is, how can I work for the employer for the month of September? since H1B starts on Oct 1st. I can do CPT full time but, then again I heard you can not quit CPT in middle of the semester.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have a PD of September 2007 in the EB-2 category. I am currently on an H1B 3 year extension(after 6 years) on basis of an approved I-140.I am a physician and would like to pursue a fellowship given that it is unclear how many years I will have to wait to get a green card. Can I extend the H1B (change employer),given that I got the 3 year extension of the H1b on the basis of an approved I-140? What are the consequences for the H1B visa (employer change).I know I may have to start my green card process all over again.Thank you.

Rescheduling your FP can delay your background check etc., and can complicate your GC approval timeframe. Its better not to reschedule and stick to the appointment unless their is an emergency.
AFAIK, their is no limit on the number of times you can reschedule though, but its advisable not to reschedule for the reasons mentioned earlier..

My kid brother (15 years old and US Citizen) lives in India with my parents. They are quite elderly now to take care of him and we were thinking of bringing him to US legally to live with us. We want to adopt him so that he can have a good lifestyle here and have no issues legally in future. Is there anyone who has gone through similar case before ? Also, I wanted to ask if there are any attorneys that specialize in cases like these ? If so please let me know and I would like to hold a consultation asap.

I recall that USCIS was planning to issue 2 year AP and 2 year EAD. I see that the 2 year EAD has been implemented. ANy idea, if and when the 2 year AP implementation is expected?
