Interesting article....but no direct talk of H1-B or skilled worker immigration reforms etc.
The author of this article is Chris Isidore...I tried looking at the CNN site if there was a way of reaching him by email...but couldn't find any..
If we could get to him, maybe he would be willing to write a part 2 to this article highlighting the broken skilled worker immigration system..

Trying to help Mother-In-Law over from China for visit. Unsuccessful w/ tourist Visa process, so now going for Green Card. Received Notice of Decision against me, unable to establish my Petitioner wife is daughter of Beneficiary Mother-In-Law. No hospital records. Previous evidence was "Notarial Certificate of Relationship." I have just received new evidence "Notarial Certificate of Birth" from civil authorities - along with affidavit from school teacher - I need to file EOIR-29, I think to call it APPEAL, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, MOTION TO RECONSIDER - can anyone provide a "go-by" as to what format my letter should take? Is letter format acceptable or is formal pleading format needed?
Time is of the essence, I have to file within 24 hours or give up and pursue DNA testing....

Hello everyone,
Few weeks ago I had filed my wife's H-4 through my H1B. We have already received the receipt for her H4 filing. The H4 has not been approved or for that matter denied. She got a new job and she needs to start in few days. She intends to use the EAD that she got from our I-485 filing. She had never used her EAD before.
The questions I have is -
Do I have to do anything to notify the USCIS or let it be?
What will be implication on her H4 petition, will that be denied because she used her EAD?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am sure that IV core team organizes events and actions pretty well. I know there are usually action items that get posted on IV.
How about thinking about the action items in a different perspective. For any event/action, create a task force. Ofcourse that may have been what is done as of now. But all am saying is create a taskforce every action/event to be organized at different levels vi.z, IV Core, IV State, IV Local and create a menu item called TaskForce on the main page. Anyone who is interested in a particular event or action would get in touch with the taskforce team.
Not sure if it makes sense but just a thought of coining a different name for the action items with assigned roles and ability to contact easily.

My I-140 petition was denied 2 months back and My attorney is trying to re apply for it. In the mean while there is a query on the company it self and our attorney is working hard to get it cleared.
In the mean while I am thinking about switch the employer.
I am in 8 th year extension and My VIsa is valid until jan 2008.
1.Assuming some comany offered me to apply for I140 and 485 and join that the company, what will happen If I140 has not been cleared before Jan 2008?.
2.What are the pros and cons I should think about when I switch the company.?
