We got the EAD receipt for both of us.My EAD Status says card ordered but my spouses EAD is still pending. Any one in a similar situation? FP Notices receive for both of us.

Because you already filed I-485 before she turned 21, your daughter is protected by CSPA and she will get her GC as long as your case is approved even if she turned 30 before your AOS is approved (I sincerely hope you are approved before she turns 30 as she must remain unmarried until she gets GC).
By the way, my son is in the same boat as he turned 21 in 2008 too.

If you switch before, your employer could cancel the application or might not answer RFE if one is issued ...

Wilmer Rivera Melendez, 61, pretended to be a lawyer and offered to help more than a dozen undocumented Guyanese immigrants in Brooklyn to get green cards, has been indicted in an immigration fraud scheme in which he is accused of offering to marry two illegal Guyanese immigrants in Brooklyn to help them gain legal status. Robert M. Morgenthau, the Manhattan district attorney, also added that this man was earlier convicted of bigamy in Georgia six years ago.
Mr. Morgenthau claimed himself having 20 year of experience as a lawyer, filed documents with immigration authorities for �withholding of removal� that would have allowed immigrants to remain in the country and obtain green cards, which is actually does not allow one to obtain a green card. Instead, Mr. Melendez�s actions led federal immigration officials to begin deportation proceedings against the 14 Guyanese immigrants. The law provides for illegal immigrants who are victims of violent crime to receive temporary visas, but not victims of fraud.

Hi,
Can I travel on a valid / approved AP when my H1 Extension is in progress. This is my
situation:
Valid AP in Hand valid till next year.
H1B expiring 6/20/2011
H1B extension applied on 4/7/11 have rcpt notice.
My questions are this:
1.) When I enter US back in with my AP in Jul 11, will that impact my H1B extension in any way.
2.) Without any EAD will I be Jeapordizing my AOS in any way.
I will be continuing to work with the same employer who is the sponsor of my current
I485.
Request your thoughts and inputs on this situation. Appreciate any replies/advices you may have.

If you are working on H1 then dont renew your AP, you can always travel and enter using your H1. If you plan to use your EAD pretty soon (or your H1 is expiring soon and you dont plan to renew it ) then apply 60 days before you plan to start using EAD and you should be fine.
You can even apply for AP after the current one has expired, its just that you wont be able to travel till you get your new AP if you have abandoned your H1 status.

Can some one point to the correct link where you could get the list of H1 or Labor or I-140s approved for an employer based on the company name?

Hi,
I am planning to get my H1B extension Visa stamped in Montreal, Canada. i am in US right now. I have completed the online application. I have paid the fee through my credit card and the status of the transaction is showing as "Pending" in my bank account. I can able to see "MRV Fee Receipt Number". i can also able to see Schedule Appointment First Available: Friday, November 12, 2010 09:30 AM. But I am not able to schedule an appointment. All of the steps I performed on Yesterday. So I have waited for today for any changes and all remains the same.
Please help me.

Maybe the 60 Minutes story from a few months ago is making a difference. DHS finally agreed today to show some humanity and not proceed for two year with deporting widows and widowers of US citizens (often American soldiers who die in combat) who only were denied green cards because their spouses died before USCIS could finish processing their cases. The courts have not been consistent in their rulings and it is going to take the US Supreme Court settling the matter (or DHS backing down). Hopefully, this marks the end of USCIS' rabid pursuit of a population that deserves...
